Abstract Intriguing hints for the violation of Lepton Flavour Universailty accumulated within the last decade. Furthermore, recently the CDF experiment presented a new measurement of the W mass, which is in tension with the Standard Model prediction, and more and more hints for new resonances at the LHC appeared. In this talk I review the current experimental situation, give an overview on possible extensions of the Standard Model that could account for the various measurements and discuss some selected models that can provide combined explanations of several anomalies.
