Course Description

The course consists of two parts: the first focuses on precision physics using neutrons, and the second on neutrino physics.

The main topics of the course include:

  • Introduction to neutron physics, neutron sources, and neutron optics
  • Neutron scattering and interferometry
  • Particle physics experiments with neutrons, including ultracold neutrons, neutron (EDM), neutron lifetime and decay, electric charge, and gravity
  • Neutrino oscillations and neutrino mass
  • Neutrinoless double-beta decay
